Dental Staff

Dr. Jan (Baraczek) D.M.D. was attracted to dentistry for the ability to help others and to do so working with her hands.  She received her degree from the Medical University of South Carolina, College of Dental Medicine in 2016.  She is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the South Carolina Dental Association.  

Dr. Jan’s goal is to help everyone feel comfortable in what can be the least comfortable place for some.  She does so by listening to the patient and explaining the procedures in detail, preparing the patient prior to each step.  

When Dr. Jan is not in the office she enjoys traveling, frequenting Charleston’s many fabulous restaurants, running / workouts, gardening, cooking, going to the beach, and time with her husband and friends.

Anthony was born and raised in California and he moved to South Carolina in 2019 for a new adventure in life.  He has been dental assisting for 5 years.  Days off consist of working out, hiking, trying new restaurants and hanging out with family.

Abriel is a registered dental hygienist from Charleston, SC. She graduated from Midlands Tech. In 2022 where she studied dental hygiene and healthcare science.  Abriel enjoys making meaningful connections with her patients as she strives to make them feel comfortable and healthy.  Abriel is a downtown Charleston native and enjoys painting, reading, goin on adventures, and spending time with family and friends.  

Melody is originally from Savannah, Georgia. She graduated from Savannah Technical College in 2012 with a degree in dental assisting.  Melody has over 11 years of experience in the dental field.  

Outside of work, Melody enjoys trying new restaurants, spending time with her children and watching football. 

Jodi obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from West Virginia University in 2023. Through West Virginia University’s dental hygiene program she became a community dental health coordinator, CDHC, Jodi is also a certified tobacco treatment specialist, CTTS. Originally from Charleston, West Virginia, Jodi relocated to Charleston, South Carolina upon graduation. Jodi is very excited to make a difference in serving the Charleston community. Outside of practicing dental hygiene, Jodi enjoys visiting different beaches in and around Charleston and spending time with friends and family.
